Speed-the-Plow on Broadway
Jeremy Piven, star of HBO's popular series Entourage, makes his Broadway debut in the first Broadway revival of the David Mamet play Speed-the-Plow.
Originally produced on Broadway in 1988 with Ron Silver, Joe Mantegna, and Madonna, Speed-the-Plow is a scathing satire about Hollywood types. Mamet's other notable plays include the Pulitzer Prize-winning Glengarry Glen Ross, American Buffalo, Oleanna, and November starring Nathan Lane. Mamet is also no stranger to Hollywood himself, having written and/or directed several films, including Redbelt, The Spanish Prisoner, and Wag the Dog.
