When is Broadway Week Scheduled?
- Broadway Week is run twice a year in the Winter (in early February) and in the Fall (in early September)
- The offers for the promotion are announced (and go on sale) in the month preceding, so that happens in mid-January and mid-August
- The ticket sale opening day is usually on a Tuesday, two weeks ahead of the beginning of the offer dates
- Typically the days of the show promotion will start on a Tuesday and end on a Sunday
- Broadway Week hasn't actually been run for just one week since the 2016 promotion
- The promotion usually runs close to 19 days (for the Winter promotion) or close to 12 days (for the Fall promotion)
- By the time Broadway Week actually rolls around, there is very little ticket inventory available, as most buyers purchase the tickets a month ahead, either in January or August when ticket sales open up
- For the last couple of years some Broadway shows have been holding back tickets and dispersing them a little more evenly and not at the start of the promotion
