Peter And The Starcatcher Concludes Its Run On Broadway But Will Soon Transfer To Off-Broadway With Performances Expected To Start In March
"Peter And The Starcatcher" Continues On Off-Broadway
Peter and the Starcatcher may be ending its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on January 20, but it turns out that the play with music still has life in it yet. The show's producers just announced that Peter and the Starcatcher will continue life Off-Broadway.
Not surprisingly, the production will transfer to the premiere venue for Broadway to Off-Broadway transfers, New World Stages. Located in midtown Manhattan, just a stone's throw from most of the Broadway theaters, New World Stages is an ideal venue for shows like Peter and the Starcatcher, which have enjoyed steady popularity but can't quite sell enough tickets to make a profit in a Broadway house.
Performance Dates Have Yet To Be Announced
Peter follows in the footsteps of such Broadway to Off-Broadway transfers as Rent, The 39 Steps, Million Dollar Quartet, and Avenue Q, which all moved to New World Stages (Avenue Q is still playing there on Stage 3).
Exact opening dates and casting information have yet to be announced, but Peter and the Starcatcher is expected to start performances in its new home this coming March.
