Oh, Mary! on Broadway Background
Transfer From Off-Broadway
Oh, Mary! is a new comedy created by downtown cabaret favorite Cole Escola.
The show ran from Jan. 26 until May 12, 2024 at Off-Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Theatre before transferring to the Lyceum Theatre for a limited run of 16 weeks.
Mary Gilpin To Take Over Lead Role
Betty Gilpin, acclaimed for her roles in GLOW and Mrs. Davis, is set to make her Broadway debut by replacing Cole Escola in the comedic play "Oh, Mary!"
Escola, who both wrote and starred in the production since its Off-Broadway premiere in February 2024, will depart the show January 19th, 2025, after a successful run. Gilpin's tenure as Mary Todd Lincoln will span from January 21 to March 16, 2025.
The Show May Continue With Other Stars At The Helm Post March 2025
Tickets for the show are available through June 28, 2025, but no closing date has been announced indicating potential future casting announcements, There is talk of this show potentially becoming Broadway's version of the West End's Mousetrap, which is London's longest-running play, since 1952.
